Family Reunion - Reno 03 13
Missed Ya Mike!!!! Hope to see you soon!!!!Well a great time was had, many eggs cracked, Great visit!
I'll put a tad of edit here, the rest are pics and don't need any text. You know the routine, click on a pic for a larger pic, pics are from top to bottom.
Thursday - Mom wanted to show the kids the historic Train Museum in Sacramento on the way to KC's so that was our first stop. It was after noon when we arrived so lunch was first to be had. We found a nice old restaurant and it was good.
Then on down thru some of Old Town to the train museum. Dang those things are big!!! The first one was a front cab monster engine, Samshel and Wyatt went thru the cab, and I got a pic of them by the wheel, it dwarfed 'um!
Lots of cars there, a diner car, mail car, various train engines, nice place! I got a pic of a small one as we were walking out the door. And on to KC's.
We visited a bit and went down to their local sports bar, about a block away! It had a play ground out back that we visited on Friday. Had some supper and mom got her baby fix with Evan. After that we went back and registered at the Nugget, I got a shot out the window the next day, up in the 23 rd floor.
Friday - That was the playground and visit.
Sat - Big eat day! GBG I've helped our neighbor lady, Leona - the old gal by Andy's place, and she brought us over a $40 certificate for a honey backed ham, which cost us another 20, dang they are expensive - and mom and I agree, the ones she gets are better, but an unusual treat!
Well we had our Easter egg hunt and everyone got a buncha stuff. I don't think Carson could figure out what all the deal was with a piece of plastic, but went along with it. Don't know if he ever got any candy! And that ain't bad.....
As KC was home, we got to play out in the back yard, the weather was much nicer than expected, so we enjoyed it with some soccer! Wyatt was having a great time with Carson's toy car, but he just barely fit inside and had trouble getting in and out!
Finally caught Carson with Wyatt's sun glasses on, he's quick! Caught Amy in a baby hug! Ton of ham to eat, with all the trimmings! It was good, but still like mom's better!
Even got folks to sit still long enough to get a family pic! Great time!
Sunday - all good things must end some time, turn out the lights, the party's over.... GBG KC found this great place for breakfast, it was about 10 m south of his house, which put it 1/2 way between him and our motel, so we met there for breakfast. Darn good food and great prices. It's a lot like City Diner, (Oak Tree), cars all around and old time pics, a real winner!!!!
Ate our fill, said our goodbyes and on the road again! Great time!!! Next time Mike! We already are planning on congregating in Klamath Falls! A day ride for both of us!
Let the pics begin:
